Beiersdorf, the Hamburg-based skincare company behind NIVEA and other global brands, faced fragmented, aging intranet and collaboration tools across its 19,000-employee organization. To modernize communications, consolidate siloed platforms, and move to the cloud while keeping security and cost control, Beiersdorf adopted Microsoft Office 365 and leveraged Microsoft Power Apps to accelerate productivity and mobile solutions.

Using Office 365 and SharePoint hub sites, Beiersdorf built a single, global intranet called YOUNITED and then used Microsoft Power Apps to create the QualityOnShelf mobile app in just 92 days. The app captures photos, barcodes, GPS, store names and defect classifications and feeds data into Power BI, cutting a process that once took over an hour down to minutes, driving broad employee adoption, faster remediation, and measurable time and cost savings while enabling rapid, low-code innovation.
