Reverse logistics: IT landscape launched in record time

Encory GmbH, a BMW/ALBA joint venture focused on reverse logistics, faced the urgent challenge of building a complete IT and ERP environment for its first logistics center in Spain in under three months. To avoid legacy systems and accelerate deployment, Encory adopted Microsoft Power Apps together with Microsoft cloud services (Dynamics 365, Azure, Office 365) to enable a cloud-based ERP foundation and low‑code app development.

Using Microsoft Power Apps to extend a core Dynamics 365 solution hosted on Azure (with Avanade as implementation partner), Encory created custom workflows—clearing, container registration, delivery‑slot booking and more—without professional developers and went live within the three‑month target. The Microsoft Power Apps-enabled solution now serves over 2,000 BMW dealers worldwide, speeds dealer reimbursements (reducing outstanding debts), improves process transparency via Power BI dashboards, and provides a scalable platform for rapid roll‑out to additional locations.
