Rabobank selects Power Platform as its default development platform for internal process automation

Rabobank, the Netherlands’ second-largest bank with more than 40,000 employees, faced a large-scale digitization challenge: modernize legacy systems and streamline thousands of internal processes that were being built in disparate, high-cost on‑premises ways. To accelerate development, reduce costs, and enable citizen developers while preserving security and compliance, Rabobank selected Microsoft Power Apps (Power Platform) as its default internal development platform.

Microsoft Power Apps was implemented across a governed Center of Excellence with tiered environments, an Environment Manager and ALM automation, and integrations with Azure, SharePoint Online, Power Automate and Workday. The BAPPS team’s solutions — including the R@pp reorganization app — cut a process that once took three weeks down to three minutes, achieved 99.1% placement accuracy, and helped Rabobank scale to 2,500+ Power Apps/Power Automate solutions with over 55% employee adoption, making Microsoft Power Apps the bank’s go‑to platform for internal automation.
