Pöppelmann, a large German family-owned plastics manufacturer and global market leader, faced a highly fragmented IT landscape—different Office versions, phone and email systems, unreliable Wi‑Fi/docking setups, and increased security complexity—that was inhibiting international collaboration and flexible working. To create a uniform modern workplace the company adopted Microsoft Power Apps as part of a broader Microsoft solution set (Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure AD, Intune, Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform).

Using Microsoft Power Apps and the wider Microsoft cloud stack, with implementation support from partner glueckkanja-gab, Pöppelmann migrated 1,600 Windows clients and 600 smartphones and standardized communications via Teams/Exchange while securing devices with Intune and Azure AD. The result is a homogeneous, globally consistent workplace with higher employee acceptance, faster evergreen updates (every six months versus roughly two years previously), smoother device rollouts, increased agility, and a completed rollout targeted by February 2022.
