A Microsoft Power Apps Case Study
North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is a regional government organization supporting more than 700 employees and contractors across 16 counties, serving 230+ member agencies and 7.7 million people. Facing the need for scalable, secure, and continuity-ready collaboration and document management, NCTCOG turned to Microsoft Power Apps alongside the broader Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, Azure Backup) to modernize communications and replace traditional datacenter constraints.
By implementing Microsoft Power Apps and the integrated Microsoft 365 platform, NCTCOG standardized a Teams-first workspace, migrated services to the cloud, and rolled out governance and security controls (with Power Automate and Intune/Azure capabilities). The deployment enabled enterprise-wide remote collaboration—supporting 700+ staff and contractors, maintaining 400+ SharePoint sites for document sharing—while improving scalability, compliance, and the Council’s ability to deliver programs across its 230+ member agencies.
