NASCAR drives cloud-based efficiencies to win productivity race

NASCAR, a premier motorsports organization that stages weekly traveling events with hundreds of staff and contractors, needed better ways to coordinate logistics, share real‑time information, and give field crews mobile access to critical documents. To modernize collaboration and reduce versioning and VPN reliance, NASCAR implemented Office 365 and SharePoint Online and turned to Microsoft Power Apps to solve the high cost and slow turnaround of custom mobile development.

Using Microsoft Power Apps, NASCAR rapidly built the Track App to surface SharePoint Online data on Android, iOS, and Windows devices, while the Inside Track intranet and coauthored Operations Workbook on SharePoint enabled real‑time teamwork. The solution let up to 15 people edit key workbooks simultaneously, streamlined tracking of roughly 120 event staff, accelerated billing (finance can process weekend charges Monday), and freed an estimated 10 hours of email time into focused work—delivering faster app development, fewer version conflicts, and smoother event productions.
