LUKS simplifying hospital processes with low-code technology

Luzerner Kantonsspital (LUKS), one of Switzerland’s largest hospitals and a digital innovator, needed a fast way to simplify complex triage guidelines for COVID‑19 antibody therapy so clinicians could make quick eligibility decisions. The hospital turned to Microsoft and partner Stratiteq and used Microsoft Power Apps to pilot a low‑code solution that could be deployed rapidly.

Stratiteq built a Microsoft Power Apps intranet app in days with a simple yes/no workflow that automated eligibility checks, reduced paper‑based steps and sped decision-making. In the two weeks it was active the app helped LUKS treat hundreds of patients, saved clinicians time, earned strong staff feedback, and prompted plans for a Power Platform Center of Excellence and broader Microsoft (Power BI, Azure) adoption.
