A Microsoft Power Apps Case Study
Leonard Cheshire, a large UK nonprofit that supports people with disabilities to live, learn, and work independently, faced fragmented legacy systems, thousands of Word/Excel care plans, manual processes, rising costs, and no single version of the truth. To modernize operations under "Project Connect," the organization adopted Microsoft Power Apps alongside Dynamics 365, Power Automate, Power BI and Azure to create smarter, mobile-first tools for staff and consolidate data.
Working with partner Quantia and using Microsoft Power Apps and the wider Microsoft Power Platform, Leonard Cheshire consolidated systems, built end-to-end apps for care plans, assessments, rostering and billing, and automated reporting and workflows. The new single platform improved service delivery, reduced administration and costs, gave leaders better visibility (including digitized rostering to cut external agency spend), and an independent ROI study forecasts full payback in less than 36 months.
