Leading Australian health supplements company speeds new product development with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure

Blackmores Group, a leading Australian health‑supplements company, needed to accelerate new product development and break down data silos after finding off‑the‑shelf options too costly or inflexible. To gain faster insights and move ideas to market more quickly, Blackmores turned to Microsoft Power Apps (part of the Microsoft Power Platform) together with Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions and Azure App Service.

Using Microsoft Power Apps, Blackmores built a central product‑development platform called Project Lucky that combines Power Apps canvas apps, Dataverse, Power BI and Power Automate with Azure middle‑tier services to consolidate data from ten siloed systems. The Microsoft Power Apps‑based solution delivered its first version in nine months, cut supplier‑reporting time by 50%, improved cross‑functional collaboration and enabled faster, more agile product development while allowing the team to rapidly deploy additional business and vendor‑management apps.
