illimity Bank simplifies loan process and saves 15 hours a month with Microsoft Power Automate

Illimity Bank, Italy’s first cloud-native bank, faced a slow, manual employee loan application and approval process that relied on unstructured emails, messages, and phone calls and burdened a single underwriting employee. To modernize this workflow the bank turned to Microsoft Power Apps and the wider Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint and Teams) to structure requests and streamline approvals.

Using Microsoft Power Apps together with Power Automate, illimity built a Forms-based intake, a SharePoint knowledge base, automated eligibility checks, HR approval workflows, PDF generation and Teams notifications. The solution reduced processing time from about 1 hour to 20 minutes per request, handles roughly 15 requests a month, speeds responses from a week to days, and saves an estimated 15 hours a month — demonstrating measurable efficiency gains from Microsoft Power Apps.
