Huber+Suhner, a Swiss manufacturer of electrical and optical connectivity, faced fragmented production data across multiple local databases that made traceability slow, error-prone, and risked crashing SQL servers during heavy read/write operations. To modernize its data stack, Huber+Suhner implemented Microsoft Azure Data Explorer (ADX) with support from Option 4.0 and built a QR-based tracing app using Microsoft Power Apps.

Using Microsoft Power Apps together with Azure IoT Hub, Azure Edge and an ADX server cluster, the vendor helped consolidate process data into a single, scalable source of truth and offload load from legacy SQL systems. The outcome: analysis that once took weeks now runs in minutes, engineers can trace and resolve issues in real time, deployments that used to take months can be delivered in weeks, security was strengthened, and the company plans to scale the solution to 30 more machines and pursue item-level digital twins.
