Hearing Australia, Australia’s largest provider of government-funded hearing services, needed a better way to collect and manage non-clinical information for its Hearing Assessment Program – Early Ears (HAPEE). The team’s community visit data was fragmented, making it hard to keep information current for Community Engagement Officers and Audiologists working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Using Microsoft Power Apps and Dataverse, Hearing Australia built the HAPEE Operations Hub with model-driven apps, Power BI reports, Power Automate flows, and mobile and Outlook integrations. The solution is now used by more than 100 Community Engagement Officers and Audiologists, including in remote areas with no internet coverage, and it helped Hearing Australia win the Australian Information Industry Association’s ACT Division Government and Public Sector Solution of the Year Award.
