Global leader in SaaS for managed print services delivers rich analytics to customers with Power BI Embedded

MPS Monitor, a global SaaS leader for Managed Print Services that supports thousands of dealers and over 1,000,000 devices worldwide, faced a BI bottleneck: nightly OLAP CUBE exports, file-sharing distribution, and Excel pivot-based analysis meant less than 5% of its 40,000 portal users could extract insights. Needing real-time sync, scalable integration inside its web portal, and true self-service analytics, MPS Monitor selected Microsoft Power Apps (leveraging Power BI Embedded, Azure, SQL Server and SSAS) to modernize its reporting and analytics.

Using Microsoft Power Apps technologies, MPS Monitor rebuilt its BI on an SSAS tabular model with Power BI Embedded integrated directly into the web portal (single sign-on, row-level security, and embeddable one-page “widgets”). The solution delivered fast, interactive visuals and self-service authoring without extra accounts; widgets that once would have taken two weeks to build now take less than a day. The change drove clear commercial impact: about 40% of new subscribers cited BI as a key purchase factor and 90% said competing systems lacked comparable analytics.
