Facility management team dramatically improves efficiency by automating manual tasks in just two months with PowerApps

Leonardo Global Solutions, the facility management arm of the Leonardo Group, faced slow, error-prone paper and Excel-based daily checklists across more than 40 sites in Italy, which delayed accurate monthly reporting and corrective action. To modernize operations they adopted Microsoft Power Apps (built with PowerApps) to replace manual processes and enable a paper-free, cloud-based approach.

NTT DATA developed and deployed a PowerApps solution on Surface devices that automates checklists, generates PDFs, triggers Microsoft Flow notifications, and feeds Power BI for analytics. Implemented in just two months and rolled out to about 40 sites, the Microsoft Power Apps solution replaced the monthly submission of some 30 Excel spreadsheets, reduced transcription errors, delivered real-time, accurate data, sped up interventions, and improved reporting and staff motivation.
