DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private investor in the energy sector, faced a severe cashflow crisis after the war in early 2022 drove a sharp rise in overdue accounts receivable. The company needed to act quickly to manage debt collection and support its 3.5 million customers and businesses, so it turned to Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Platform.

Using Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Teams, DTEK built a cloud-based debt management solution in five months with a team of two. The system helped segment customers, assign specialized managers, create tailored repayment plans, and provide daily reporting in minutes, resulting in a 90 percent improvement in debt collection and UAH 40 million of debt collected in 2022.
