Case Study: Contidis gains real-time retail insights to build Angola’s Candando superstores with Microsoft Power Apps

A Microsoft Power Apps Case Study

Preview of the Contidis Case Study

Contidis gets the business insight it needs to build Angola’s nationwide superstore chain

Contidis is building Angola’s Candando superstore chain and needed fast, flexible business intelligence to manage operations, pricing, inventory, and promotions after its SAP for Retail on AWS couldn’t deliver timely reports. To address this, Contidis engaged partner DevScope and adopted a Microsoft stack centered on Microsoft Power Apps alongside Power BI, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Analysis Services to give managers and store staff rapid, mobile access to critical data.

DevScope implemented a unified BI solution—moving data into an Azure SQL data warehouse with ETL, using Power BI for reporting and Azure Analysis Services for row-level security—while planning Microsoft Power Apps for future mobile workflows. The Microsoft Power Apps-enabled solution put BI in the hands of 100+ users within weeks, now holds 14 million records with ~10,000 daily sales transactions, helps detect fraud and inventory errors, enables real-time price comparisons, speeds reporting, and through automated scaling saves about €3,600 per year.
