Consulting firm speedily solves space issues with innovative workspace scheduling app, enhances its culture

Armanino LLP, a large U.S. consulting and accounting firm with a highly mobile workforce, struggled with underutilized office space, unpredictable workspace availability, and an “incidental squatter” culture that disrupted productivity and drove up rent costs. To solve this, Armanino LLP turned to Microsoft Power Apps (supported by Azure SQL Database and Azure Blob Storage) to build a lightweight, user-friendly reservation system.

Using Microsoft Power Apps, Armanino created the Workspace Scheduler mobile app—Power Apps for the front end, Azure SQL Database and Blob Storage for the back end, and Office connectors for Outlook and Microsoft 365—to provide real-time availability and reservations. The Microsoft Power Apps solution improved space utilization, strengthened collaboration and morale, delivered measurable productivity gains, and is expected to reduce rent expenses by about 15–20%.
