Capitol Records faced a pressing modernization challenge when its business‑critical Capitol Scheduling app—built on InfoPath and nearing end of support—was no longer sustainable. To replace manual data entry, disconnected processes, and tribal knowledge embedded in XML forms, Capitol migrated its marketing and release scheduling workflows to the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Microsoft Power Apps (and Power Automate), with support from partner SkyLite Systems.

Using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate (and SkyLite’s i2P Express migration tooling), Capitol centralized scheduling, automated routine tasks, and enabled low‑code citizen development across the label. The deployment eliminated many manual workflows, accelerated time to market, streamlined cross‑label collaboration, and gave mobile, centralized access to marketing data—benefits now used by more than 250 employees—while reducing costs and improving operational visibility.
