Brabant Water - Customer Case Study

Brabant Water, a Dutch water utility serving 2.6 million people in North Brabant, needed to replace a highly customized on-premises Oracle system that was nearing the end of its useful life. The company also wanted to improve customer service, reduce inefficient workflows, and move billing, collections, and customer communications into a modern cloud-based platform. Microsoft Power Apps was part of the solution set selected to support that shift.

Brabant Water worked with Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft FastTrack, and Ferranti Computer Systems to implement MECOMS 365, Dynamics 365 Finance and Customer Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure solutions. After the rollout, billing was metered to 6,000 invoices per day, monthly debits were spread over five days, and annual bills now go out in days instead of weeks; Power Apps also gave field employees mobile account lookup and route mapping, with real-time payment processing helping facilitate 90 percent bill collection.
