Aviation industry partner propels global growth with Microsoft Project

Ontic, a provider of legacy aerospace products serving more than 5,000 customers worldwide, needed better visibility into global projects, standardized product-line transitions, and improved cross-team collaboration after leaving its previous PPM tool. To meet those goals, Ontic worked with partner Wellingtone and adopted Microsoft Power Apps alongside Microsoft Project (Project Online and Project for the web), Power BI, and Teams to create a unified, customizable project-management environment.

Using Microsoft Power Apps to build a PMO portal and centering work in Project Online and Project for the web, Ontic automated data extraction, created interactive Power BI dashboards, and gave nonproject managers simple tools to plan and report. Implemented with Wellingtone, the solution enabled quick, click-based reporting and monthly distribution of results to local and global leaders, improved visibility across seven facilities, increased adoption across business units, and established a scalable foundation for continued growth.
