A Microsoft Power Apps Case Study
Avacon, an energy company helping B2B and B2C customers reduce their carbon footprint with bespoke energy systems, faced fragmented customer data and inefficient, standalone processes documented in Excel, drives, email and phone calls. To model the entire customer life cycle and improve collaboration across subsidiaries, Avacon turned to Microsoft Power Apps and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite (Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Service Automation) with SharePoint Online as central document storage.
Using Microsoft Power Apps alongside Dynamics 365, Avacon implemented an integrated platform that automates maintenance schedules and work orders, gives field teams instant access to technical system data, and connects project, service and installer workflows. The rollout has delivered consistent, homogenous datasets, reduced redundant data and improved scheduling and resource use; roughly 300 users work with the marketing, sales and customer service modules (about 100 use the full range), and the solution is being shared across other E.ON business units. Microsoft Power Apps is also planned to extend dashboards on system efficiency and CO₂ reductions directly to customers.
