Alsimet gains efficiency, productivity, and process automation by combining Business Central and Power Platform

Alsimet, a Spanish medium-sized metals distributor, was running an obsolete 2008-era management system that hindered real-time data exchange across eight branches, forced paper-based work, and created hardware dependencies. To modernize operations and enable mobility, Alsimet partnered with Sothis to migrate to cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the Microsoft Power Platform, including Microsoft Power Apps, to connect teams and support process automation.

Sothis implemented Business Central together with Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate to consolidate data, deliver interactive reporting, and automate workflows (including banking reconciliation via Sothis’ Banxion). The solution eliminated time-consuming manual tasks, sped up decision-making, boosted productivity, shortened the learning curve for users, and provided continuous cloud updates—with Microsoft Power Apps enabling the mobile, connected, and automated processes that improved responsiveness across the company.
