Case Study: A1 achieves company-wide digital collaboration and successful virtual events with Microsoft Power Apps

A1 Creating a digital space for collaboration

A1, the Austrian telecommunications group, faced the challenge of keeping 18,000 employees connected and collaborative when the pandemic ended in-person events. Relying on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem — including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and Microsoft Power Apps — A1 decided to run a wholly in-house virtual New Work Festival to reimagine teamwork and drive company-wide adoption of digital collaboration tools.

Using Microsoft Power Apps alongside Teams, Forms, SharePoint and Power Automate, A1 built an integrated virtual event environment and later replaced 61 separate registration forms with a single dynamic Power Apps registration app. The festival drew 1,500 employees to 61 events over nine days, increased participation from regional offices, accelerated Teams adoption after 300 internal workshops, and made the virtual format repeatable and more efficient for future events.
