Warsaw School of Economics establishes itself as a model university with Microsoft cloud technology

Szkoła Główna Handlowa w Warszawie (SGH), one of Poland’s leading economics universities, needed to modernize its IT environment and securely move a large user base to the cloud without disrupting teaching and operations. Facing data-management, compliance and security concerns for roughly 1,400 employees and 25,000 students (more than 26,000 accounts total), SGH partnered with Microsoft cloud technology, including Microsoft Power BI, Exchange Online, OneDrive and Azure AD, to ensure a safe, seamless migration.

Microsoft Power BI was implemented for advanced analytics and visualization—powering recruitment dashboards and service‑usage charts that helped leadership decide on opening majors and track OneDrive adoption—while Microsoft’s Exchange Online migrations (with FastTrack support), Cloud App Security, Azure AD, SCCM, Intune and Windows 10 upgrades delivered the broader cloud transformation. The result: completed migration of >26,000 accounts, 5 TB OneDrive allocations per user, stronger two‑step verification and remote app access, reduced admin effort for updates and clear, measurable upticks in service adoption and operational efficiency driven by Microsoft Power BI insights.
