Case Study: Autoglass digitizes processes and boosts productivity and cost savings with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Autoglass Case Study

Vehicle glass repair provider digitizes processes and increases productivity with self-developed apps

Autoglass, part of Belron®, was hampered by error-prone, paper‑based and time‑consuming internal processes—mobile technicians had to call dispatch and staff updated multiple systems—creating inefficiency and a poor user experience. To digitize and streamline operations the company adopted Microsoft Power BI as part of the broader Microsoft Business Application Platform (including PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and the Common Data Service) to create mobile-first, integrated apps.

Microsoft Power BI (with PowerApps and Flow) enabled a non‑programmer at Autoglass to build 40+ in‑house apps used by more than 3,000 employees and 1,500 field technicians, with data and dashboards embedded into Teams. The apps cut administrative time (audits dropped from ~20 to 5 minutes), generated an estimated USD 1.66M in potential annual revenue from time savings, avoided about USD 40,000/year in external supplier costs, improved GDPR data protection, and are now being adopted across other Belron brands.
