Valmont Coatings, a segment of Valmont Industries, needed to modernize its traditional, on-premises processes to improve customer experience across 37 global locations. Microsoft Power BI and Azure helped Valmont Coatings build customer-facing and internal solutions, including the Valmont Coatings Connector and GalvTrac, to streamline order updates and improve galvanizing operations. Real-time notifications, mobile-friendly access, and synchronized floor collaboration reduced manual work and increased visibility. The impact was significant: GalvTrac saved $1.8 million in zinc optimization in North America in its first year, while also improving quality, turnaround time, and customer convenience.
