Case Study: Riga English Grammar School achieves 21st-century skills development with Microsoft Power BI

Using modern teaching methods to hone 21st century skills

Riga English Grammar School in Riga set out to give every high‑school pupil the opportunity to learn through technology and build 21st‑century skills like critical thinking, communication, cooperation and creativity. To meet this challenge the school participated in the “Ready for Tomorrow” project and adopted tools from Microsoft Power BI, including Office 365, the Power BI tool for research projects, and Skype for Classroom.

Microsoft Power BI supported the rollout by helping provide tablets with necessary software and enabling students to use Office 365 daily, organize research with Power BI, and join global lessons via Skype for Classroom. The result is that every pupil now works regularly with digital tools, increasing engagement, motivation and practical technology skills that give students a clear advantage in their future studies.
