MCS Group, one of Mongolia’s largest conglomerates with over 10,000 employees, faced a bottleneck: limited IT resources meant many digital initiatives were delayed or too costly to pursue. To scale innovation and empower staff, the company adopted Microsoft Power BI alongside the broader Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Microsoft 365) and launched a group‑wide training program to foster citizen developers.

Using Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform tools, MCS Group deployed applications up to five times faster while cutting software development costs by two‑thirds, built an internal app store, and created more than 60 business apps in two years. The vendor’s low‑code approach enabled 283 employees to be trained on Power Apps and 263 on Power BI, replaced costly commercial systems (saving thousands annually in license fees), and boosted agility and employee productivity across the group.
