Turkish bank modernizes its business intelligence to become more effective, analytical, and responsive

Kuveyt Turk Katılım Bankası, a major Turkish participation bank, needed to modernize its business intelligence and reporting to support self-service analytics, faster decision making, and mobile access while integrating with its existing Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure. After evaluating options, the bank selected Microsoft Power BI to give business units the ease of use, visual capabilities, and enterprise-level BI features required to move reporting out of IT’s sole control.

Using Microsoft Power BI, the bank deployed a Power BI infrastructure, integrated reports with its core banking and corporate mobile platforms, and ran training and standards-led adoption (including Power BI visual galleries) so business users could create audited ad hoc reports. The implementation delivered quicker access to unified dashboards across web, desktop, and mobile, reduced reliance on IT for report creation, and gave senior management single-report visibility into digitization, customer segments, and market share—while enabling a roadmap toward advanced analytics, machine learning, and big-data integration.
