Trevali Mining Corporation, a global miner with four main sites, needed to centralize IT, eliminate data silos, and speed decision‑making across offices and remote mines. To address this, Trevali deployed a Microsoft cloud platform—using Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain, Azure and Azure AD, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Intune), and analytics through Microsoft Power BI—to create a single digital operating platform for operations, safety, and collaboration.

Using Microsoft Power BI as part of the broader Microsoft solution, Trevali consolidated data into a single database, automated workflows, improved security with Azure Sentinel and Intune, and enabled remote equipment monitoring and planned IoT‑based underground tracking for safety. The program is expected to deliver $20 million in pre‑tax sustainable savings from the Digital Transformation Program (and contribute to a $50 million annual efficiency goal by 2022), while speeding reporting, improving collaboration, and strengthening operational control across its sites.
