New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the government agency that helps Kiwi businesses expand overseas, faced fragmented tools, manual processes, and limited visibility across more than 300 annual events and regional teams. To unify customer data, improve event management, and reduce duplication, the agency adopted Microsoft solutions—including Dynamics 365 Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service—and analytics from Microsoft Power BI.
Working with Magnetism Solutions, NZTE consolidated its systems onto Dynamics 365, launched the myNZTE customer portal, and used Microsoft Power BI for reporting and dashboards to track attendance and customer activity. The integrated solution cut supported systems from four to one (saving NZD 50,000 in licensing), improved decision-making, prevented scheduling conflicts, and drove a 400 percent increase in customer engagement.
