The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), the national insurer that covers about 92% of Filipinos, faced a data challenge as rising membership and claims overwhelmed its legacy reporting systems. Needing a single source of truth to design programs and make timely decisions, PhilHealth turned to Microsoft Power BI to better organize, visualize, and analyze its expanding datasets.

Microsoft Power BI provided an interactive, national view of historical and regional data, connecting all 17 regional offices and enabling data-driven planning. The solution helped PhilHealth expand its primary care delivery network across 15 regions, bring more providers into the system, streamline referrals to hospitals, and support cross-agency collaborations — concrete impacts that improved access to primary care and informed targeted program strategies.
