Team Rubicon uses Dynamics 365 to serve communities during crisis

Team Rubicon, a nonprofit of 120,000 volunteers that mobilizes veterans to respond to disasters, had to rapidly pivot to organize a nationwide COVID-19 response. To coordinate volunteer activation and operational insights it relied on Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing, Dynamics 365 Sales, Project Service Automation and Teams to connect, segment and engage volunteers while assessing risk.

Using Microsoft Power BI and the Dynamics 365 suite, Team Rubicon centralized communications, targeted lower‑risk volunteers for activation, and streamlined its COVID-19 operations across the United States. The results were tangible: in a few weeks it completed 169 missions—surpassing its full‑year goal of 140—helped deliver more than 1,000 mobile tests with Atrium Health, and ran a 250‑bed decompression station supporting 10 hospitals in Santa Clara.
