Case Study: T-Systems achieves real-time insights from any connected device with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the T-Systems Case Study

T-Systems delivers real-time insights from virtually any machine or device with IoT

T‑Systems, a global ICT provider based in Frankfurt, needed to deliver real‑time insights from diverse, connectivity‑challenged devices across industries while overcoming proprietary sensor formats, intermittent connectivity, and the need to ingest and standardize large volumes of IoT data. To give customers ready‑to‑use analytics and dashboards, T‑Systems built an Azure‑based IoT platform and used Microsoft Power BI (alongside Azure services) for visualization and analysis.

Leveraging partner daenet’s .NET Core Protocol Adapter Service plus Azure IoT Hubs, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics and Machine Learning, T‑Systems automated provisioning and decoded device protocols to feed standardized data into analytics workflows; dashboards and predictive‑maintenance views were delivered with Microsoft Power BI. The solution scales dynamically, enables new customer onboarding in ten minutes or less, and has attracted 200 customers in seven months, delivering faster insights, predictive maintenance capability, and reduced manual operations.
