Preview of the Stockrose Case Study

Swedish firm uses IoT technologies to save energy, water, and millions of dollars for property owners

Stockrose, a Stockholm-based property firm managing about 250 apartment buildings and 10,000 units, needed a scalable way to reduce energy and hot‑water use and to overcome siloed building systems that prevent per‑apartment monitoring. To give owners a single pane of glass and motivate tenants to conserve, Stockrose worked with Eniga to deploy an IoT smart‑buildings platform that includes dashboards and reporting powered by Microsoft Power BI.

Eniga’s implementation connects diverse sensors via Azure IoT gateways, Azure IoT Hub, Dynamics 365 and other Azure services, and publishes real‑time alerts and reports through Microsoft Power BI accessible on PCs and mobile devices—allowing an apartment to be connected to the cloud in about 20 minutes. The Microsoft Power BI‑enabled solution can detect leaks, support predictive maintenance, scale to millions of sensors, and is expected to save property owners €40 million over 10 years while reducing hot‑water consumption and overall operational costs.
