Sodexo wields Microsoft solutions in global transformation

Sodexo, a global facilities management giant, needed to replace siloed legacy systems with a unified platform to support a major digital transformation and its mutualisation business model, which depends on real-time, granular data for service optimisation. To achieve enterprise transparency and scalable, secure access to information, Sodexo turned to Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 and IoT Hub.

Working with Microsoft Power BI and partner Velrada, Sodexo deployed an integrated Azure- and Dynamics 365-based solution with IoT sensors and Power BI analytics in six months. The platform enabled predictive maintenance and automated inspections, accelerated mutualisation (one client consolidated 600 contractors into a single service), saved another client tens of millions of dollars in the start-up phase, and cut deployment time dramatically compared with a bespoke multi-system approach, while delivering measurable improvements in decision-making and potential client savings (from roughly 10% toward 15–20%).
