Setting a fast pace to the cloud College transforms IT in just six months

San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), a private junior college with 15 campuses and an online division, faced frequent downtime, heavy admin overhead, and the need for better business intelligence to retain students and support growth. To address this, SJVC chose Microsoft technologies—migrating its learning management system and other infrastructure to Azure and Office 365 and adopting Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics.

Working with Microsoft FastTrack and Microsoft Power BI, SJVC completed its cloud migration in six months, moving SQL Server workloads to Azure Virtual Machines and Azure SQL Database and implementing Azure Active Directory for secure access. The result: faster uptime and simpler management, the ability to provision secure environments in hours, self-service BI that surfaces at‑risk students and target demographics, row‑level security for sensitive data, and more IT time for innovation—accelerating the college’s digital transformation.
