A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Lindex, a major Nordic fashion retailer with nearly 500 stores, needed to complete its omnichannel customer journey by adding a mobile app and the analytics to monitor and improve it. To support measurement and fast decision-making they used Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure services (Application Insights, Azure Data Lake and Stream Analytics) to visualize usage and incident data in real time.
Using Microsoft Power BI, Lindex built dashboards fed from Application Insights → Stream Analytics → Azure Data Lake to track key performance indicators, identify defects by device/environment, and analyze feature usage by customer groups. The analytics-powered approach helped drive rapid, data-guided improvements—contributing to the app becoming the top downloaded app in the App Store, winning omnichannel awards, and enabling scalable rollouts and ongoing optimization across markets.
