SCSK Corporation, a leading Japanese system integrator, faced the common IoT challenge of handling large volumes of noisy device and sensor data that needed real‑time filtering, storage, analysis, and visualization. To address this, SCSK built an IoT cloud platform combining Red Hat JBoss BRMS with Microsoft Azure services and used Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

SCSK implemented JBoss BRMS on Azure (Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure IoT Suite) to run rule‑based complex event processing, enabling real‑time filtering without heavy code changes and making trials and iterative tuning easier. Running JBoss on Azure improved speed, scalability, and flexibility, and rule‑based filtering made the filtering process about 20–30% more efficient; Microsoft Power BI was used for downstream analysis and visualization, and the solution has already attracted customer inquiries.
