A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
SAPO, Portugal’s largest publisher (60M+ monthly visits), needed to boost traffic, cut bounce rates and turn inspirational lifestyle and fashion content into a sales channel in partnership with El Corte Inglés. To support measurement and optimization, SAPO and partner Spott deployed interactive, shoppable visual content and used Microsoft Power BI dashboards (with Spott running on Microsoft Azure) to track performance.
Spott added an interactive layer to images and videos to make content shoppable, while Microsoft Power BI provided real-time dashboards and analytics to guide optimization. The combined solution reduced SAPO’s bounce rate to 20%, increased click‑through rate to 50%, raised average session time to over three minutes, drove 30,000 new users to El Corte Inglés and generated some 140,000 interactions.
