Rolling out a cloud-first strategy in 30 countries provides a common basis

PERI, a large German formwork and scaffolding specialist, faced fragmented, country-specific sales processes and poor-quality, paper-based data that prevented reliable forecasting as it moved to a cloud-first strategy. To unify its sales division across subsidiaries, PERI adopted Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules and Microsoft 365, using Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics.

Microsoft Power BI formed part of a Microsoft solution that included Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service and Marketing; PERI ran pilots, used a gamified "CRM‑Olympic" data‑cleansing campaign, and rolled Dynamics 365 Sales into about 30 countries with ~98% user uptake. The unified CRM and Power BI reporting produced measurable gains—about 5 minutes saved per customer (~20 minutes per day), roughly 7–8 workdays saved per salesperson per year across 800 salespeople—plus faster processes, better forecasting and data-driven decision making.
