Red Cross brings aid to Lebanon’s most vulnerable with cloud-based solutions

The Lebanese Red Cross, which provides nationwide ambulance services and humanitarian aid to refugees and vulnerable people in Lebanon, needed to move from paper-based, siloed processes to real-time monitoring and response to manage large-scale assistance and volunteer operations. To address this, the Lebanese Red Cross partnered with Microsoft Power BI and other Microsoft cloud products (Azure, Dynamics 365, and Office 365).

Using Microsoft Power BI as part of a cloud-based solution hosted on Azure with Dynamics 365 and Office 365, the vendor delivered unified CRM, finance and procurement workflows, GIS ambulance tracking, and live reporting and analytics. The Lebanese Red Cross now manages data entry and needs assessments for more than 200,000 refugees, runs real-time analyses across needs affecting 1.5 million Syrian refugees, has cut time spent on paper and manual processes, and can detect and respond to problems in real time.
