Race Winning Brands (RWB), a maker of high-performance engine parts, faced fragmented ERP systems, time-consuming manual Excel reporting, inconsistent calculations and currency errors that created informational blind spots for sales and finance. To modernize BI and improve access and accuracy, RWB chose Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and Azure Active Directory.
Working with The Principal Consulting, RWB implemented a hybrid solution with an on‑premises SQL Server 2016 data warehouse and a Power BI portal in Azure, standardized data models (10M+ sales records stored in columnstore), automated ETL, and DAX-based currency conversion. The Microsoft Power BI deployment cut manual reporting (some employees now save 65 hours per month), improved data accuracy to 99.7%, centralized global access and rolled out in four months, enabling faster, more consistent decision-making.
