PT Petrosea Tbk, a large Indonesian energy and mining services company, faced intense price competition and needed to differentiate through efficiency and value-added services. To transform operations it built the Minerva Digital Platform in 2018, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem (including Microsoft Azure) and analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI to provide real‑time data access and better decision-making across sites.

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure, Microsoft Sentinel and Azure OpenAI Service, Petrosea implemented real‑time dashboards, a Remote Operations Center, predictive maintenance, fleet optimization and digital-twin capabilities. The Microsoft-powered solution enabled about 400 users to access live data, drove a reported 15% productivity increase, a 9% reduction in operational costs, a 50% cut in certain security costs, fewer incidents and stronger customer trust and profitability.
