Kajima Corporation, a leading general construction firm, was grappling with analog information management, fragmented communication across large multi‑contractor worksites, and a labor shortage as part of its Kajima Smart Future Vision. To digitize processes and enable remote management, the Yokohama branch adopted Microsoft cloud services — including Microsoft Power BI (as part of the Microsoft Power Platform), Microsoft Forms, Power Apps, Power Automate and Microsoft Teams — to enable easy in‑house app development and real‑time information sharing.

Leveraging Microsoft Power BI alongside Power Platform tools, Kajima built smartphone‑friendly progress‑management apps that push updates into SharePoint/Excel via Power Automate, rolled solutions out to other sites in 1–2 days, and anchored remote collaboration with Microsoft Teams. The deployment improved yields (more than 10% in light gauge steel and board construction and over 20% in wallpaper work), streamlined communications and coordination, reduced time and labor on site, and created a foundation for further automation and AI‑driven scheduling.
