Pharmaceutical Distributor uses PowerApps to help Strengthen Customer Relationships

Hawkary Pharmaceuticals, one of Iraq’s largest pharmaceutical distributors, struggled to manage more than 100 field reps who sent 20+ Excel reports daily (about 400 monthly), making it difficult to aggregate data, spot trends, or measure product and rep performance. To modernize reporting and analytics, the company turned to Microsoft Power BI and other Microsoft tools including PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, and Azure SQL Database.

Sales and marketing manager Mohammad Alkhawaja built a Doctor Relationship Management app with PowerApps, moved data to Azure SQL Database, automated notifications with Microsoft Flow, and used Microsoft Power BI for analysis. The solution reduced rep reporting time from ~30 minutes to 5–10 minutes (about 10 hours saved per rep per month), gave supervisors instant, unified reports and better targeting, and improved performance measurement and follow-up — all enabled through Microsoft Power BI.
