Pakistani manufacturing giant takes advantage of Microsoft tools to power user-centric growth

ICI Pakistan Limited, a Karachi‑based chemicals manufacturer with more than 1,700 employees, was held back by systems downtime, manual processes and complex analytics that slowed daily operations. To modernize its infrastructure and empower users, the company partnered with Scaptox and adopted Microsoft technologies—including Microsoft Power BI, Azure, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint/OneDrive), Dynamics 365 and Teams—to move systems to the cloud and enable a more resilient, user‑centric workplace.

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure, Microsoft 365 and Windows Virtual Desktop, ICI Pakistan replaced its legacy analytics platform and moved its datacenter to the cloud; Power BI now supports roughly 50 reports and about 20 dashboards, saving an estimated 3–4 man‑hours per day, eliminating email downtime since the migration, and enabling faster month‑end closings and broad Teams adoption. The Microsoft Power BI–driven solution increased automation, improved data interconnectivity and empowered employees to collaborate and make faster, data‑driven decisions.
