A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
AdInte Co., Ltd., a Japanese pioneer in retail media and OMO solutions, needed to monetize and analyze growing volumes of offline and online customer data (ID‑POS, AIBeacon, EC/app data) in preparation for the cookieless era. To modernize its DWH/CDP and speed up analysis, AdInte partnered with Microsoft Power BI and adopted Microsoft Azure services including Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage and Power BI.
Using Microsoft Power BI’s Azure stack, AdInte migrated to a PaaS data platform—ETL with Databricks into Azure Blob Storage, analysis with Databricks and Synapse, and reporting via Power BI—enabling auto‑scaling clusters and a web UI for shared notebooks. The move eliminated many four‑to‑five‑hour batch jobs, delivered much faster and more stable analyses, simplified operations and knowledge sharing, and accelerated development (5–10 program changes per client per month). As a result, AdInte now supports over 40 retailers with a scalable retail‑media platform and substantially improved processing efficiency and time‑to‑insight.
