Mortgage banker unlocks data with cloud-based analytics service, gains insight, and boosts advantage

Sierra Pacific Mortgage, one of the largest independent mortgage bankers in the United States, faced slow, paper-based workflows and an inflexible BI system that made it difficult to analyze productivity and sales across its eight regional centers. To move to a cloud-first, user-friendly analytics approach, Sierra Pacific Mortgage implemented a mortgage-focused solution built on Microsoft Power BI (delivered by Access Business Technologies) and other Azure services.

Access Business Technologies deployed the MortgageWorkSpace Suite using Microsoft Power BI Embedded with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse, delivering live interactive dashboards and about 25 reports in under 60 days. The new Power BI-driven solution lets managers drill down to individual loans, monitor rate-lock expirations, and slice a 4,000-unit pipeline down to 200 at-risk loans—leading to faster loan processing, reduced paperwork and maintenance overhead, improved regulatory compliance, and clearer operational visibility that boosts competitive advantage.
