A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Blue Frog, a fast-growing casual dining chain with more than 60 urban locations, needed to modernize IT to improve table service, streamline staff workflows, and give management timely access to operating data. To meet these challenges it adopted Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Surface Go and Surface Pro devices running Windows 10 to decentralize point-of-sale and bring data visibility to the boardroom.
Using Surface Go at tablesides for POS and CRM (including QR-based loyalty) and Surface Pro for management analytics, Blue Frog fed near–real-time sales and customer data into Microsoft Power BI for reporting and decision support. The solution increased staff efficiency and guest satisfaction by removing stationary POS stations (freeing valuable restaurant space), sped up loyalty and billing workflows, and enabled data-driven, faster business decisions—delivering measurable operational gains and supporting the chain’s continued expansion.
